Get Dumbo To Shoot a Hole in One

Play Golf as a Big Hairy Elephant

So finally I get to be a big hairy elephant. And no, before you say anything, it was never a deep fantasy of mine. But still, it is something I have never done before. But that is the thing with these cool free UK games online - you get to be pretty much anything. So with Dumbolf, you get to be a big hairy elephant. And not just a big hairy elephant, but a big hairy elephant who is trying to play golf and shoot a hole in one.

The graphics are very cute. You are faced (well, you being the big hairy elephant) with a mini golf course with trees and hills, golf carts and flags. The elephant's eyes even blink! You then have to place yourself on the correct side of the ball to be able to putt it in the right direction (the first time I tried this game I forgot to move myself so putted the ball right off course immediately). Obviously, each hit gets more difficult as you have to find strategies that will work with more difficult moves. But what is nice about the game is that it lets you mess up as much as you need, in other words you get a lot of attempts to putt the hole the correct way.

Learn The Controls Before Playing Dumbolf

A good piece of advice with Dumbolf, from one who knows (I've played the game a lot of times) is to make sure you work out how to angle your golfing stick before you play the game. Or, for more fun, just try, try and try again until you see that you are actually getting somewhere and aiming correctly. I found that even though I kept trying to play the game and aim differently to get further up in the holes, I never quite managed to leave part (the gauntlet) but I hear the other parts just get more challenging and thus more fun!

Ant Run Pro Junior

by onlinegames @ 2008-02-05 - 16:05:02

I have no idea why this game is called Ant Run Pro Junior as there is nothing junior about it. Maybe the younger generation finds it easier to play this game.

Ant Run Pro Junior can be found in the puzzle section of the Games2Go UK website. It is totally free but very frustrating. Ant Run Pro Junior can be considered to be a building exercise as well as a game of skill and speed. Basically you have to try and build a maze with existing pieces in order for the ant to pass through. The maze is already there but there are different configurations of the path and it is not always easy to guess which way the ant is going.

In order to turn the different sections of the maze which are divided up into a grid image, you have to click on each square. By clicking you rotate the pieces but sometimes they do not rotate in the direction you want them to and your little ant reaches a dead end. There are no extra lives here; if it is a dead end then the game is over.

Ant Run Pro Junior is a game that I believe I will be coming back to again and again to see how far I can get. The more I play the game the better I get and am able to get my little ant a bit further each time. Ant Run Pro Junior demands skill and quick thinking and is a great game to try when you are in the middle of a boring task; it gets your brain cells moving again!
