Check Out Best of British Draughts
There are a lot of different types of Draughts played around the world. In fact the game has been played since possibly as far back as 600 BC (I remember my great grandmother telling me that when she taught us the game as kids. Funny, I don't remember what I ate for lunch yesterday but this piece of information has not escaped me). Anyway, I used to play Draughts as a kid, and then I taught my own kids, but a lot has changed since then. Well, the principle of the game has remained the same of course, but now there are all sorts of different versions, especially since there are online versions too. I chose a UK version (found on a free UK online gaming site) but it is played in America too. It is known as Anglo-American Checkers and is probably the most popular type of Draughts throughout America and Britain.
Draughts is Easy to Learn and Enjoy
Since I already knew the basic rules of the game of Draughts (on the 64-square chequered board a player has to block his opponent's pieces), I started playing this game immediately. But what I really liked about this particular version was the interactivity of it. You can play against another player (rather than the computer) and you can even choose against whom you want to play. I started actually inviting my friends to play against me, and, whilst playing, we chatted about the game and other stuff! I even got tips from one of them. It was a lot more fun and felt a lot more arcade-like than other times I had played Draughts. It is just an altogether different feeling. So if you want a free fun game, check out this cool version of Draughts and invite your friends to play against you.
